Prism LGBTQ+ Affirmative Counseling

Christopher Brace began pursuing a career in therapy with the goal to support members of the LGBTQ+ community who like him feel more comfortable working with an LGBTQ+ provider in a therapeutic setting. As he continues to grow as a professional, the therapeutic techniques he uses are constantly being fine-tuned and changing. Even so, his view is that it is imperative that clients see their time in the therapy office together as a time and place for healing, reflection, and personal growth, without fear of judgment.

A Nurse's Comprehensive Guide to Gender-Affirming Care

With nurse practitioners from all over the United States being on the frontline, they play a big role in providing transgender and gender non-conforming individuals with the medical, psychological, and emotional care they need. However, many may not have the experience or access to proper resources to render the necessary services.

Affirmations

A collaboration between Community Counseling Center (CCC) and The LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada (The Center) is a program specifically designed to provide psychotherapeutic support to LGBTQ+ identified individuals, as well as their families and loved ones.

Trans Lifeline

Trans Lifeline is a grassroots hotline and microgrants 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering direct emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis - for the trans community, by the trans community.

Henderson Equality Center

The Henderson Equality Center, a community-based LGBTQ organization, supports and promotes social and support programming, food pantry, and tutoring. 

Golden Rainbow

Golden Rainbow is pleased to offer Wellness Workshops. We offer a variety of workshops or activities focusing on healthy options for managing a chronic disease and alternative solutions to the unique challenges many people living with HIV/AIDS must confront every day.

Drug Watch

A free web resource that provides health information guides and research on various medical conditions and unsafe drugs. They have published a free mental health guide for LGBTQ+ community members. 

LGBTQ-Friendly Rehab Options

Drug Rehab USA, Randy Palmer, recently created a directory for the city of Las Vegas (pulled from SAMHSA and other sites - updated for 2024') with all available LGBTQIA+-friendly drug and mental Rehab Facilities.

Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people.

Equality Nevada 

Equality Nevada focuses on youth, ensuring that laws are drafted and passed to protect them and providing funding and resources to low-income families to help make it possible for all youth to achieve their goals and dreams. One of our signature programs is the creation and maintenance of gay-straight alliances, which build trust and foster open dialogue with our allies to ensure the reality of inclusiveness and equality for all.

Human Rights Campaign

We work locally, nationally, and globally on issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community. HRC partners with people across demographics, industries, and governments to provide leadership on how to back up pro-equality statements with real action - and create a society where none of us is left behind.

Victim Advocacy Center

Welcome to the Victim Advocacy Center, a trusted resource for survivors of abuse, neglect, and violence. Our mission is to provide education, empower individuals with knowledge, and connect victims to the legal resources they need to reclaim their lives and pursue justice. We are dedicated to standing by survivors at every step, offering guidance, support, and a pathway to hope.

National Center for Lesbian Rights 

Litigates precedent-setting cases at the trial and appellate court levels; advocates for equitable public policies affecting the LGBT community; provides free legal assistance to LGBT people and their legal advocates; and conducts community education on LGBT issues.

Southern Nevada Asian Pacific Islander Queer Society (SNAPIQS)

The Southern Nevada Asian Pacific Islander Queer Society (SNAPIQS) serves all Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions (SOGI/E or LGBT*) in the Southern Nevada region. Through social and cultural activities, education, mentorship, awareness, and advocacy, we aim to create an inclusive, affirming, and empowering community.

PFLAG has 400 chapters and 200,000 supporters crossing multiple generations of American families in major urban centers, small cities, and rural areas in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. This vast grassroots network is cultivated, resourced, and serviced by PFLAG National, located in Washington, D.C., the National Board of Directors and 13 volunteer Regional Directors.
