Independent Content Creators

Who Thick Follows

Youtube is my TV by now

I will provide the links to common channels that I follow for news, discussions, and other information. I don't take anything that these commentators say as gospel, but I do like that they provide links to their sources and background information on the topics that they are discussing. It helps me get a broader view of a subject, I am always on the lookout for different content creators and those that are not necessarily mainstream.

On Fck Work but Ima Go, they will keep you entertained, educated, and empowered while you play like you're working each and every Monday. Make sure you listen to the end and bow your heads for our work prayer. It's not their fault if you lose your job laughing out loud at our vent sessions and drug test stories!

Multimedia

Media

I read many different articles and I love Documentaries as well, so I will always be on the lookout for the newest content.

Miss Representation (2011)

Writer/Director Jennifer Siebel Newsom interwove stories from teenage girls with provocative interviews from the likes of Dr. Condoleezza Rice, Lisa Ling, Nancy Pelosi, Katie Couric, Rachel Maddow, Rosario Dawson, Dr. Jackson Katz, Dr. Jean Kilbourne, and Gloria Steinem to give us an inside look at the media and its message. As the most persuasive and pervasive force of communication in our culture, media is educating yet another generation that a woman's primary value lay in her youth, beauty and sexuality--and not in her capacity as a leader, making it difficult for women to obtain leadership positions and for girls to reach their full potential. The film accumulates startling facts and asks the question, "What can we do?
