Political Engagement Resources
We know grassroots organization and movements are an integral part of all communities when trying to implement changes. Slim engages in the community through social engagement and Thick does it through community involvement. There are multiple ways for people to get involved and we hope to highlight as many as possible to encourage people to get out in their community to help with changes locally and nationally. By engaging altogether on multiple fronts we can all make a difference in creating the society that we want.

Democratic Socialists of America - Las Vegas Chapter
We are a political and activist organization, not a party; through campus and community-based chapters, DSA members use a variety of tactics, from legislative to direct action, to fight for reforms that empower working people.
Battle Born Progress
Battle Born Progress uses strategic communication efforts to empower, engage and mobilize Nevada voters to build a state where everyone has a fair opportunity to succeed.
The Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada (PLAN) was founded in 1994 to bring together diverse and potentially competing organizations into one cohesive force for social and environmental justice in Nevada, and continues to do so! Since 1994, our organization has grown from 12 original founding member groups to a current membership of nearly 30 organizations! We build power with our community through strategic organizing and policy advocacy to build a strong and fair Nevada that puts people and planet first.
We are a new and unique civic engagement nonprofit. Vote Nevada was founded by Nevadans for Nevada. Unlike many other organizations, we are stand-alone with no national affiliation.
The Nevada Independent is a nonpartisan, nonprofit news and opinion website founded in 2017 by veteran political journalist and commentator Jon Ralston. The site and its supporting channels are focused on ethical, unbiased and transparent journalism. In general, we aim to gather and disseminate important public information and increase civic engagement.
