Mature Adult Resources (65+)

Nevada Care Connection

Nevada Care Connection works with older adults, people with disabilities and family caregivers to explore a variety of services, resources, and programs available to them. Our goal is to help individuals make informed decisions and connect to services as easily as possible.

Lutheran Social Services of Nevada

LSSN partners with two Las Vegas churches located in low-income neighborhoods to provide hot meals to seniors every weekday. Seniors (60 and older) may eat for free or give an optional donation to help support the program.

Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Waiver for the Frail Elderly (FE) 

The Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Waiver for the Frail Elderly (FE) provides community-based, in home services to enable the frail and elderly to remain in their own homes and avoid placement in a long-term care facility. 

Communication Access Services

This service enables people with speech and hearing disabilities to use specialized telecommunications equipment to access the phone system. This service is provided by Sprint.

Medicare Assistance Program (MAP)

The Medicare Assistance Program (MAP) is comprised of three federally funded programs: State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) and Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA). It is administered across the State of Nevada by trained volunteers, community partners, and team members.

Taxi Assistance Program (TAP)

This program provides discounted taxicab fares to qualified individuals, age 60 and older, and persons of any age with a permanent disability through coupon booklets that are accepted by all taxicab companies in Clark County.

Delivering with Dignity

Through partnerships with locally-owned restaurants, leading nonprofit agencies, and private corporations, the program delivers meals directly to the doorsteps of residents, keeps dozens of restaurant staff employed, and expands to support community facilities, including domestic abuse and homeless shelters.

Access to Healthcare

AHN's Aging & Disability Resource Center can also assist individuals in applying for the Extra-Help low-income subsidy which providers up to $26.50 per month in Medicare Part D funding and provides additional discounts on prescription drugs.

NeedyMeds

NeedyMeds is a 501(c)(3) national non-profit that connects people to programs that will help them afford their medications and other healthcare costs.

RxAssist

RxAssist offers a comprehensive database of these patient assistance programs, as well as practical tools, news, and articles so that health care professionals and patients can find the information they need. All in one place.

Senior Rx and Disability Rx Program 

This program will provide assistance with prescriptions, including up to $5,100 per year to help with medication payments. This program, which is offered from the state of Nevada, will also pay for 100% of prescription costs during the Medicare Part D 'gap'.

Access to Healthcare

If you are uninsured and can't afford to obtain healthcare for you or your family we can help. We treat each of our members like they are our own family and will be there every step of the way to make sure you get what you need. It's what we've always done and will always continue to do. We are here to serve you.

The Southern Nevada Health District is administering COVID-19 vaccine in coordination with the Nevada State Immunization Program and State Public Health Preparedness staff. Currently three vaccines are offered in Clark County. Click on each one below to learn more.

Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada

Children's Mobile Crisis Response Team

The Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) was created to provide crisis intervention and support to Nevada families dealing with a behavioral or mental health crisis. For so long, families have had no choice but to go to the emergency room due to lack of resources or knowledge of available resources.

Nevada uninsured medical care programs and free health insurance

There are several assistance programs for the uninsured and low income in the state of Nevada. Assistance can be provided to immigrants, service industry employees (such as Casinos), gig workers and others. Some of these resources will also benefit families with some form of health insurance but maybe the plan does not cover their specific need. 

Medicine Assistance Tool

PhRMA's Medicine Assistance Tool (MAT) is a search engine designed to help patients, caregivers and health care providers learn more about the resources available through the various biopharmaceutical industry programs. MAT is not its own patient assistance program, but rather a search engine for many of the patient assistance resources that the biopharmaceutical industry offers.

A website that offers completely free information, education, and resources regarding dental care in hopes of raising dental awareness. All content published on NewMouth is created by our team of journalists, researchers, and those experienced in the medical writing industry. All pages and topics on the website are fact-based and sourced from current scientific research, such as scholarly articles, dentistry textbooks, government agencies, and medical journals. This includes information provided by the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Asbestos Exposure Guide
