Stimulus Checks for the Homeless 

Here are steps for those that are are experiencing housing issues to take in order to acquire their stimulus checks. It is important still to talk to a tax preparer and verify how funds would be acquired when helping this population so that they are best able to make a choice on how they want to use their funds.

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada - Men Only

With 400 beds available, this year-round emergency night shelter provides a clean and safe environment for adult homeless men every night. Additionally, case management is available every night to provide access to community resources.

Las Vegas Rescue Mission (Men, Women, Children, and Families)

To serve those in need through food, shelter, daily needs and addiction recovery, offering hope to individuals and families through Jesus Christ.

The Courtyard Homeless Resource Center

Since August 2017, the city and service providers at the Courtyard have been assisting in getting homeless off the streets and into housing. Through the Courtyard, the city has connected those in need to mental health providers, legal assistance and job information. 

The Salvation Army (Men or Women)

All are welcome at our no fee shelter until we are at capacity at 35 W Owens Ave, North Las Vegas, NV 89030. There are also hostel beds available on our Owens Campus for a $20 fee.

Family Promise of Las Vegas

Helping at-risk and homeless families with children in Clark County achieve sustainable housing and independence through a compassionate, community-based response.

HopeLink of Southern Nevada (Referral to Program Needed)

HopeLink provides emergency shelter through hotel/motel vouchers for locations around Clark County. This program is designed for families and individuals who are not appropriate for mass shelters and must be referred by another agency.

HELP of Southern Nevada

HELP of Southern Nevada is made up of eight housing programs that provide housing and intensive case management to formally homeless and chronically homeless individuals and families who have a documented disability.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army offers family services by providing a food pantry, served meals and hotel, motel, mass shelter, rent, and mortgage assistance. 

Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth

NPHY is the most comprehensive service provider for the thousands of young people experiencing homelessness in our community, providing access to life-changing services for homeless youth 24 hours a day at virtually every street corner in Southern Nevada.

Shannon West Homeless Youth Center

HELP of Southern Nevada's Shannon West Homeless Youth Center (SWHYC) provides services for at-risk youth, age 16-24, that are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. SWHYC provides safe and stable housing, basic needs/food, intensive case management, person centered case plan, housing stability plan, education assistance, employment assistance, assistance in transitioning to own apartment, addiction and mental health services, health and wellness, financial literacy, activities of daily living and supportive services. At capacity SWHYC can house 150 youth. Appointments are preferred by this resource. 

St. Jude's Ranch for Children

St. Jude's Ranch for Children provides a variety of housing options for transitioned age youth 18-24 years old experiencing homelessness or at risk of being homeless. Youth who are homeless and meet HUD definition of homelessness can be referred to the following housing options:

Transitional Scattered Site (TH)

Transitional Rapid Re-Housing (TH-RRH)

Rapid Re-Housing (RRH)

A referral is needed for this resource. 

CARE Complex

The CARE Complex utilizes sacred donated funds to support those who have a desire to transition out of homelessness.

Democratic Socialists of America: Las Vegas Chapter

On the last Sunday of every month LVDSA distributes hygiene products and other needed items to the unhoused community.

Street Teens

Street Teens is dedicated to assisting homeless, abandoned, and at-risk youth in the Las Vegas Valley. Our primary goal is to meet the needs of our youth by providing essential wraparound services in a compassionate environment.

Project 150

To provide support and services to homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students so they can remain in school, graduate, and build bright futures.

Safe House

Emergency shelter for those seeking refuge from interpersonal violence/domestic violence. Services are available for singles, individuals from the LGBTQIA2+ community, women and their children, and men and their children.

Safe Nest

SafeNest provides confidential, emergency shelter to victims of domestic violence, including children and pets.

HELP USA

HELP USA in Las Vegas provides housing related veteran services through the Genesis and Bonanza Grant Per Diem Housing (GPD) and the Supportive Services for Veteran's Families Program (SSVF). In addition we operate Renaissance Permanent Housing for low income individuals, couples and families.
